A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash on a busy road.

The incident happened on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 in Canterbury today at about 3pm.

Police and paramedics attended the scene on the slip road onto the London-bound carriageway of the A2 in Bridge.

A spokesman for the force confirmed they were called to a two-vehicle crash at about 3pm.

"A woman sustained an injury and was taken to a local hospital," they said.
