Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens blasts unbeaten ton in Kent Cricket League Division 1 victory for leaders St Lawrence & Highland Court against Dartford

Kent’s veteran all-rounder Darren Stevens blasted an unbeaten century for St Lawrence & Highland Court in their Kent League Division 1 win over Dartford on Saturday.

Stevens continued his recovery from injury with a 115-ball 158 not out which included 13 fours and seven maximums - although the 46-year-old did not bowl.

Will Hilton (50) also was among the runs, helping St Lawrence to 309-4 from 50 overs.

Gurveer Singh Saini hit 120 for Dartford in reply but they were 219 all out in the 50th over.

Thomas Copestake (4-39) was the pick of the bowlers for leaders St Lawrence.

Premier Division frontrunners Hayes beat Beckenham by nine wickets.

Alex Senn won the toss and then helped Beckenham get off to a decent start alongside Nick Rigg before the latter was dismissed for 24, leaving the visitors 42-1.

The arrival of James Fear brought an increase in momentum, with Senn accumulating steadily at the other end to move Beckenham on to 103-2 before Senn was dismissed for 41.

James Fear (31) shortly followed, though, as Beckenham slumped to 171-9. Andrew Eddicott (3-31) was the pick of the home bowlers.

Hayes set about their chase in impressive fashion and, despite Gareth Severin being dismissed for 52, captain James Bamber (64 not out) and William MacVicar (45 not out) got them over the line in the 35th over.

Minster are second having beaten Bexley by seven wickets.

Fielding first, Minster restricted Bexley to 166 all out, despite George Haley’s 68. Joseph Parry (3-44) was the pick of Minster’s bowlers.

Minster skipper Ed Moore got their chase off to a bright start with 61 from 58 balls before James Thompson blasted a quick-fire 72 from 46 balls to get them home in 23 overs.

Bickley Park claimed a narrow one-wicket success against Blackheath.

Blackheath batted first and posted 196 all out from exactly 50 overs thanks to Brendon Louw (68) who was supported by Tanweer Sikandar and opener Mahi Mahfuzul with 38 and 30, respectively.

For Bickley Park, Elliot Hooper and Krishna Padmanabhan finished with the exact same figures - 3-36 from their 10 overs.

Skipper Hooper then got Bickley Park close as he struck 59.

And despite a couple of run-outs with the tension rising, Will Holcombe (11 not out) and 11th man Xavier Darroch (five not out) saw them over the line with one ball to spare.

Lordswood beat Sandwich by seven wickets.

Overseas David Grant chipped in with 43 for Sandwich who posted 188 all out from their 50 overs while Jack Laraman (3-13) impressed for the hosts.

But Lordswood rarely looked troubled during their run-chase.

Edward Taylor (58) got them going before captain Linden Lockhart - with an unbeaten 56 - and Calum MacLeod with a run-a-ball 47 not out saw them home in the 44th over.

Tunbridge Wells earned a four-wicket victory over bottom side Sevenoaks Vine.

Sevenoaks posted 214-8 from their 50 overs, Evert Bekker top-scoring with 56, while Alexander Williams (3-39) shone with the ball.

In reply, captain Christopher Williams top-scored with 83 as Tunbridge Wells got over the line in the 45th over, while Yodhin Punja (2-50) shone for Lordswood.
