Here, we’ve featured 18 of Last Chance Animal Rescue’s adorable pooches in Kent who are desperate to find their forever homes…
Pam, saluki crossbreed, three
Pam is a shy saluki crossbreed who recently joined the rescue from a pound in Wales.
She seems to be fine with other dogs and opens up more while she’s out on walks.
The three-year-old will not be able to be rehomed with children or cats.
Alison and Dumpling, pomeranian and pug, between four and six
Alison, a pomeranian, and Dumpling, a pug, are a pair of cheeky girls who are looking for a home together.
They love cuddles and going out for walks.
They seem to be good with other dogs and are looking for an owner who will be around for most of the day.
Peewee, Staffie crossbreed, eight weeks
Peewee is a typical puppy who is looking for a very active home.
The eight-week-old came to the rescue from a pound in Wales, so they don’t have much history on him.
He will need a lot of TLC and his new owner will need to be able to give him the time he needs for training and socialisation.
Narla, Dalmatian, between three and four
Narla is a friendly Dalmatian who is looking for an experienced owner.
It is possible she has been bred from in the past and can sometimes get confused.
She will need a very active home with an owner who is able to give her lots of exercise.
She will also require further socialising.
Poppy, chihuahua, eight
Poppy is an eight-year-old chihuahua who is looking for her forever home.
She loves cuddles and attention, and the rescue has described her as a “real sweetie”.
Poppy is ideally looking for an owner who is retired and home all the time.
She will make the perfect lap dog.
Rolo, French bulldog, three, and Pepper, Yorkshire terrier, four
Rolo and Pepper are looking for their forever home together.
Rolo is blind so he will need some help getting around, but he has adapted to his surroundings in the kennels quickly and loves attention.
Pepper is a cheeky girl who is very sweet and lively.
The pair are looking for a calm home together and would be okay living with older children.
Boe, Staffie crossbreed, four
Boe is a sweet and friendly boy who loves going on walks.
He can be a bit strong on the lead sometimes so is looking for an active home.
He came to the rescue from Wales so will not be able to be rehomed with children as they have no history on him.
The rescue also recommends that he be placed in a cat-free home.
Boe seems to be okay with other dogs when he’s out on walks.
Mick, greyhound, four
Mick is a very sweet and friendly greyhound who recently joined the rescue from Wales.
He will not be able to live with children or cats but could potentially live with another dog.
The rescue has no history on him.
Rocket, seven, and Gretel, 10, Labradoodles
Rocket and Gretel have recently joined the rescue so are very nervous at the moment.
They can be wary of strangers so they are looking for a quiet home where they’ll be able to take time to settle in.
They are looking to be rehomed together in an adult-only home.
Luca, whippet, one
Luca is a very friendly whippet who recently joined the rescue from a Welsh pound.
He will not be able to be rehomed with children or cats but seems fine with other dogs.
Joe, Staffie crossbreed, between two and four
Joe is a friendly Staffie who loves treats and scratches.
He loves going on walks and will need to go to an active home with owners who are able to take him out a lot.
He can be a bit of an escape artist so he will need a secure garden.
The rescue has no history on him so he will not be able to live with any children but seems okay with other dogs.
He has not yet been cat-tested.
Chloe and Joey, pomsky, one
Chloe and Joey are a pair of very nervous puppies who are looking for a home together.
The rescue says they are currently “absolutely petrified” of the world and it is possible they haven’t had much human interaction in the past.
They are looking for a very patient owner who will be able to give them the time they need to settle in.
They will also need to be placed in a quiet and child-free home.
Walnut, German shepherd, two
Walnut has had a very troubled past and has experienced neglect, so he is looking for a lot of TLC.
He is very wary of men so will need to be slowly introduced to people.
But, once he gets to know you he is extremely friendly.
He is very food-orientated as he has been starved in the past, so he will need some further training to get over this.
He is good with other dogs but will require some further socialising.
Jamie, lurcher crossbreed, around one
Jamie is a sweet lurcher crossbreed who recently joined the rescue.
He seems to be fine with other dogs but will not be able to be rehomed with other children or cats, as the rescue has no history on him.
