A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a car and a bike.
Police are investigating the fatal collision which happened in Main Road, Longfield, near the Station Road junction, shortly after 5am this morning.
The motorcycle, a silver Yahama MT10, was reportedly headed west as the car, a beige Vauxhall Zafira, was headed in the opposite direction.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and closed the road this morning.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
The driver of the car received treatment from paramedics at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward or those with dashcam footage or CCTV to submit it here.
A police spokesman said: “Investigators from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out inquiries and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
“Officers are particularly keen to speak to witnesses in the Hartley Road area who may have CCTV.”
