Police have discovered a body in the search for a missing woman.

Officers attended the Green Street Green area of Dartford at around 7pm yesterday (April 28), where the body of a woman was discovered.

An appeal was launched last week to trace Maria Pilgrim, 56, who was reported missing on April 23 after last being seen walking along Main Road in Longfield.

Police say formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family has been informed.

Inquiries are currently underway to establish the cause of death in liaison with the coroner.
