Boy, 12, seriously injured after suspected drug driver crashes into him

A 12-year-old suffered chest and arm injuries after being hit by a suspected drug driver.

The schoolboy is now recovering in a London hospital after the white Mercedes C-Class ploughed into him in Henderson Drive near the junction with Marsh Street, Dartford, at 3.25pm yesterday.

A 45-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.

He has since been released pending further enquiries.

Investigating officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have seen the involved parties in the moments leading up to the collision.
