Broken down lorry on M25 causes 11 mile queues for drivers

Motorists are facing 11 mile queues after a broken down lorry caused traffic chaos on the M25.

It comes after the vehicle broke down on the motorway anti-clockwise before J1A for the A282 Swanscombe.

There's also congestion to J4 for Oprington, which is affecting the A2 in both directions at the Darenth Interchange.

All lanes have since been reopened at around 12.30pm following the incident, after traffic was held while the lorry was recovered.

Traffic was held for around 30 minutes to cone off the lorry just before the tunnels.
