Two lanes are currently closed on a busy A-road after a car burst into flames.

Fire crews are at the scene on the A2 Londonbound, between the Bean turnoff for Bluewater and the Darenth Interchange in Dartford.

The incident is causing delays, with lanes one and two having to be closed.

An eyewitness at the scene told KentOnline: “You can smell the smoke just from driving past.

“Traffic is building up.”
