Former EastEnders actress Daniella Westbrook has been checked into rehab by TV star Jeremy Kyle.

The 45-year-old, who has lived in Greenhithe, appeared on the ITV show this morning to talk about her drug addiction.

She was then accepted an offer from Jeremy to a 10-week programme 'to change her life'.

The actress took to Twitter yesterday to inform her fans and thank everyone for their support.

She wrote: "For those of you asking my good mate Jezza had me on his show which is being Aired in the morning & has kindly sent me 2 rehab for 3 months.

"I'm grateful & excited 2 have the chance 2 get the drug free life I had for 14years back. Thank u 4 ur support especially my @KJ_Artist."

Earlier in the week the 45-year-old, who revealed she had womb cancer last year, mentioned the start of a programme that would make her stronger.

She said: "The first day on a 10 week program which will change my life make me strong and give me the tools too never feel the way I've felt the last four years... I'm never looking back."

It is the second time Ms Westbrook has appeared on the show, following an appearance in 2012 when she spoke her a cocaine addiction.
