Dartford boss Tony Burman started planning for next season this week, holding meetings with every member of his first team squad.
Burman is poised to fine-tune things at Princes Park after the Darts just missed out on the play-offs in their first season in the Ryman League Premier Division and knows he can’t keep everybody.
He said: "I’m due to see the players on an individual basis and some will go. I will offer people terms but if they don’t accept them, they will leave.
"We have got some targets who we would like to bring in but won’t be rushing things as I think there will be a lot of players available this summer."
Burman watched former striker Cody McDonald in action for Norwich in the 4-2 defeat at Charlton on Sunday as a guest of his father Darren.
The result condemns the Canaries to the third tier of English football for the first time since 1960 but Burman believes the youngster has already done enough to prove himself.
He said: "It’s disappointing and a massive blow for Norwich that they have gone down. They think a lot of Cody and he has been involved for the last eight or nine games."
McDonald got his chance just before half-time at The Valley and Burman added: "He didn’t look out of place. I saw him on television against Reading and at Charlton and he didn’t look out of place. Norwich know they have got a good player there, who will potentially score goals but is still learning."
Striker Rob Haworth won Burman’s vote for the Manager’s Player-of-the-Year at the club’s presentation night. He said: "I think awards like this should be won over a season, Rob has worked hard and deserved it for his consistent performances.
"Many of the players did well this season and voting for all the awards was close."
