Driver released under investigation after man in 50s hit and killed by lorry on A20 in Farningham

A driver has been released under investigation pending further inquiries after a man in his 50s was hit and killed by a lorry.

The incident happened at 4.28am on the A20 in Farningham yesterday.

The driver of the lorry, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released pending further inquiries.

A police cordon was put place from the corner of Scratchers Lane as an officer directed oncoming traffic.

The road reopened at around 3.30pm yesterday and officers are asking for witnesses or people with dashcam footage to contact them.
