If success was measured in screams and cheers, Dartford’s two-day festival was definitely a winner.
Thousands of people flocked to Central Park on Saturday to browse the stalls, enjoy the fairground rides and watch the beginning of the festival, with vocal, dance and gymnastics performances kicking off the day.
By 3pm the sun was out, the day was warm and people were comfortably settled on picnic blankets ready for Not The Rolling Stones to begin the musical afternoon.
It was Jordan O'Keefe and District3 who pulled in the biggest crowds, and sent Dartford's teenage girls into hysterics.
Madness tribute band One Step Behind brought the evening to a close - but not before getting the crowd up on their feet and dancing along to Our House, Baggy Trousers and House of Fun.
Another jam-packed day of entertainment is all set for today as well, with Squeeze singer and guitarist Glenn Tilbrook headlining.
Tilbrook, whose band achieved success with several top-10 hits including Cool For Cats and Up The Junction, will round off the festival after CarWash, Joseph Apostel and The Neville Staple Band.
Staple’s 35-year career in the music business has taken him from The Coventry Automatics, The Specials and Fun Boy Three in the late 1970s and 1980s to a solo career from the 1990s.
The Neville Staple Band will perform some of their own material mixed with some ska favourites and classic hits.
Alongside the music on the main stage, there will be a family-friendly mix of stalls, activities and entertainment, including a percussion workshops.
