Five Kent Police officers injured in serious collision in Home Gardens, Dartford near Station Approach

Five police officers have been taken to hospital with injuries after a serious crash in Dartford.

The collision involving a Kent Police patrol car and a white Toyoya Prius taxi happened just before 3.20am in Home Gardens near the train station.

All five of the officers were taken to a local hospital for their varying injuries but none are thought to be life threatening.

One remains in hospital with injuries not reported to be life threatening.

Nobody travelling in the taxi was injured.

The A226 Home Gardens and Westgate Road was closed in both directions for at least three hours while enquiries continued but all roads have now reopened.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Enquiries are being carried out by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam or CCTV footage.
