Full Dartford Festival line-up unveiled

The final acts for this year’s Dartford Festival have been announced - Maven and Oogie Boogie Band.

They will be joined by headliner The Lightning Seeds, famous for sporting anthem Three Lions, at the free event in Central Park, Dartford.

It takes place on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, and promises a plethora of live music, stalls and family fun.

Maven describe themselves as a “melodic rock band hailing from London”, and launched in 2012 with debut single, The Forgotten Ones.

Since then, the group has performed up and down the country, sharing the stage with Elliot Minor, Crazy Town, Scouting for Girls and The Feeling.

Oogie Boogie Band plays a “high energy fusion of roots, boogie, 90s hip hop and blues”.

It was set up by singer, songwriter and guitarist Ry Robson, “known for his husky tones and praised for his passionate performances”.

The groups will join the likes of Bjorn Again, performing the greatest hits of ABBA, The Farm, who penned anti-war anthem All Together Now, and jazz funk band the James Taylor Quartet.

Spicing up your life will be Wannabe - an act that celebrates the Spice Girls - performing hits such as Spice Up Your Life and Who Do You Think You Are?

They will also be joined by The Who tribute act Who Are You, and singer Nick Corbin, who released a solo album earlier this year.

The Dunwells, a band influenced by Bob Dylan, the Beatles and Motown, have toured with Bryan Adams in the UK and will also be on the bill.

Also appearing are former Glastonbury act Rhythm of the 90s.
