You don’t have to go all the way to Buckingham Palace to be treated to a dining experience fit for Her Majesty.

Children at St Anselm’s Primary in Dartford marked the Queen’s birthday last week by organising an impressive banquet at the school, featuring a tasty roast dinner and some celebratory cupcakes for pudding.

Hundreds of youngsters, dressed in red, white and blue, gathered round tables to enjoy the feast, and crafted their own crowns for some royal flair. And, as must be the way, there were plenty of flags.
