Inquest concludes following death of man hit by lorry in Farningham

An inquest has concluded following the death of a man who was hit by a lorry in Farningham.

Frank Rossiter, of Sandhurst Road, Tunbridge Wells, died on the morning of Thursday, August 6, after the incident on the A20.

The inquest held last week at County Hall, Maidstone, heard the cause of death was "traumatic brain injury, skull fracture and polytrauma" with secondary causes listed as "pedestrian road traffic collision" and "alcohol consumption."

The hearing concluded his death was the result of a road traffic collision.

Emergency services, including the police, fire service and paramedics had been called to the scene near Donkey Lane at around 4.30am following the crash.

The 49-year-old married man was declared dead shortly after their arrival.
