Investigation launched by RSPCA after dog found tied up and shot in Dartford

The RSPCA has launched an investigation after a dog was found dead in Dartford.

The dog was reportedly found yesterday, near Central Road North, with its legs tied up and having apparently been shot.

People living in the area have been asked to check their CCTV and the dog has since been taken to a vets to check for a microchip.

The RSPCA confirmed: "We've launched an investigation after the body of a dead dog was found in Dartford on Thursday, March 4.

"Anyone with information that may help our enquiries should call our appeal line on 0300 123 8018."

Police said they had been notified at 5.27pm on Thursday, March 4, that a deceased dog had been found inside a bag in Riverside Walk.

They said initial enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
