Car wrapped in film and tape in Bluewater shopping complex car park in Greenhithe

Drivers have been left stunned after returning to their cars at Bluewater's car park to see them covered in film wrap and tape.

The driver of the car below must have thought he had everything covered when he left his motor parked safely at Bluewater's covered car park.

But imagine his or her surprise when the motorist returned to see their beloved wheels completely covered in meters of cling film and red and white official-looking tape.

It appeared to be parked in a mother and child or disabled bay.

But, after we highlighted the strange fate of the car above, a reader sent in the second picture below, of a car similarly wrapped.

James Frost tweeted the picture, saying he had seen the car "the other week" at the same Greenhithe shopping centre.

It's not known who covered the cars in the swathes of adhesive tape and film, but it would have come as a huge surprise to the drivers after returning from a shopping trip.

Bluewater shopping centre has been contacted, but has yet to comment.
