Nottinghamshire Police launch Facebook appeal to find owner of Longfield war records

Nottinghamshire Police has appealed to anyone who may have connections with Geoffrey Albert Foster, who was born in Longfield near Dartford, to get in touch.

The book states that Mr Foster was born in 1928 and served in the British Army.

The book was recovered along with a number of watches after police executed a warrant in Normanton on Soar, Nottinghamshire, last week.

Police Constable Paul Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The pay book could be a family heirloom or belong to a relative.

"All items of this kind are memories and we always want to ensure that the rightful owners can be reunited with their possessions."

If any of the items are yours, call 101 and quote incident number 107 of February 14.
