A lightning strike caused a small house fire early today, blowing a telephone off the wall.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the Horton Kirby home at 2.40am when a bolt struck a nearby pylon.
It sparked the blaze and the surge of electricity also saw a fuse box smash to the floor.
Nobody was hurt and firefighters were at the scene for 45 minutes.
It comes after a lightning strike caused big disruption on Southeastern trains in Kent today.
Meanwhile, a weather warning is in place for Kent as heavy rain and thunderstorms could cause flooding.
A yellow alert has been issued for the county by the Met Office, which says up to 30mm of rain could fall in some places.
