Long delays on A2 following crashes at Cobham and Bean

Motorists are facing chaos this morning after two separate crashes on the A2 coastbound.

Two out of three lanes were shut on the motorway at Cobham, near the M2 due to an accident involving an HGV that has shed its load.

The blockage has now been removed and traffic released, but motorists are advised to still expect delays if joining the motorway in the area.

Traffic has also been held further east on the carriageway at Bean due to a serious accident.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, whicoccurreded between two vehicles near the Darenth Interchange.

One man is being treated at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service, and motorists are advised to expect severe delays in the area.
