Man arrested after alleged robbery at newsagents in Henderson Drive, Dartford

A man has been arrested after an alleged robbery attempt at a newsagents.

The incident took place just after 7am on Friday, September 14, at Riverview Newsagent, in Henderson Drive, Dartford.

The attacker allegedly demanded money from an employee while holding a bag that the victim believed contained a weapon, and assaulted a customer.

A 24-year-old was arrested and remains in custody.

Spokesman for the police, James Walker, said: "As part of their enquiries, officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they have information.

"The suspect, who was last seen running in the direction of Shaftesbury Lane, is around 6ft tall with a large build and a local accent.

"He was wearing a dark hoodie, with the hood up, and had concealed his face."

No money was exchanged and there have been no reports of anyone sustaining injuries.
