A man has been arrested after acting in a threatening manner yesterday evening.

Police were called out to Highfield Road, Dartford just before 5pm to reports of concern for the welfare of a man inside a property.

A police spokeswoman said that when the officers asked the man to come out of his home, he refused and acted in a "threatening manner".

The 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray and is still being held in police custody.

The road was closed off the junction with Chestnut Lane while officers dealt with the situation on Wednesday evening.
