Police are searching for a man who fled after a car chase.

It happened around 9.30pm yesterday on London Road, Dartford.

Police signalled for the car, understood to be a Mercedes, to stop and began pursuing it after the driver failed to pull over.

It was found abandoned in Attlee Drive several minutes later, close to the roundabout for Littlebrook Manor Way and Henderson Drive.

A man reportedly ran away from the scene.

Police spokesman Steve Knight said: "Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. There have been no arrests."
