Man taken to hospital after crash involving silver Honda outside Orange Tree pub in Dartford

Emergency services were called to attend a crash involving two vehicles outside a pub in Dartford.

Traffic was brought to a temporary standstill outside the Orange Tree pub on Hawley Road at the junction with Oakfield Lane this afternoon.

An ambulance was called and police were also in attendance shortly after 3pm.

One man was taken to a local hospital with injuries but it is not yet known if anyone else was injured in the incident.

Two elderly people were sat inside a silver Honda which was blocking the pavement outside the pub and had sustained damage to its bonnet.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We received a report of a collision involving two vehicles at 3.13pm.

"Officers and Secamb attended the scene in Hawley Road, Dartford. A man was taken to a local hospital with injuries."

Secamb spokesman Rich Airey said: "We were called at approximately 3.10pm to reports of a two vehicle RTC in Hawley Road, Dartford. Ambulance crews attended the scene and assessed and treated two patients. One patient was taken to Princess Royal Hospital for further treatment and the other was discharged from our care at the scene."
