Dartford group champions support for motherhood

A group which offers support to mums of all ages and those who have experienced baby loss is opening up to new members.

Omowunmi Babalola, from Princes Road in Dartford , launched Mummy's Linkup last June and is now looking for more mums to join its community.

The group host events such as Rhyme Time on Mondays to Wednesdays at 10.30am, mummies' nights in and out, and a selection of summer activities including picnics, barbecues and swimming days.

It also provides support for parents undergoing hospital care after losing their baby.

The team hands out gift bags of toiletries, teas, candles and slippers at Darent Valley Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital and Queen's, King George and Basildon Hospitals in Essex.

Omowunmi said: "Our group is a mummy group and is open for all mums and mums to-be.

"We do not charge to join the group. Our meeting place is within the community and we also gather together via Zoom due to the situation at hand at the moment.

"The group is not limited to certain areas as I believe women can connect together when in a group and also open doors to meet other mummies from other walks of life."
