Murder probe after man dies in hospital

DETECTIVES have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a 30-year-old man in Dartford.

The man was thought to have been involved in a dispute at Patterson Court in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was taken to Dartford's Darent Valley Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Kent detectives, working in association with officers from the Metropolitan Police, are treating the death as murder. A post-mortem examination is being held.

The victim has not yet been named. A spokeswoman at Kent police headquarters said he would be identified after his next-of-kin have been informed.
