Kent Police appeal after pedestrian injured on A2 near Dartford

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a car on the A2.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the man was hit near Dartford.

Emergency services were called to the coastbound carriageway close to the junction with Old Bexley Lane shortly after 10pm last night.

Police and ambulance crews attended and the pedestrian, aged in his 40s, was airlifted to a hospital in London where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man walking near to the location, prior to the incident.

Drivers are also urged to check dashcams for any important footage.
