Fireaway pizza opens in Dartford

Fireaway, the UK’s fastest-growing pizza takeaway chain, has arrived in Dartford.

The company has grown quickly since launching in London in 2016 and now has 60 outlets across the country and that number will double by the end of this year.

It is now aiming to open 25 new branches in 25 weeks and that began with Bexleyheath, at 227 Broadway, coming on stream this month. The Dartford branch has now opened at 6 Market Place.

Founder Mario Aleppo set out by travelling to Italy to meet farmers who now send him their choicest peeled tomatoes directly from Naples.

He then negotiated with mills in northern Italy who prepare the flour to his own specifications.

These are brought together on a daily basis for dishes baked for no more than three minutes in 400-degree ovens.

The menu provides pizza lovers with a choice of four bases, four cheeses, four meats and 20 toppings, all available for the same price.

And for the sweet-toothed, there's the Nutella Pizza to round things off.

Mario said: “We like to innovate and have also introduced the full range of gluten-free and vegan options to ensure there is something for everyone.”

The new branches are open from midday to 11pm, seven days a week and are partnered with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
