Car hits lamppost in Swanley closing Bartholomew Way

A road has reopened after being shut for three hours following a crash.

A car struck a lampost in Bartholomew Way in Swanley shortly after 3pm.

Kent Highways teams were sent to assess the lamppost, which had wires exposed, that was hit to make it safe between the junctions of London Road and Swanley Lane.

Police described the collision, which took place shortly before 4pm, as minor.

No injuries have been reported.

The road fully reopened shortly after 7pm.
