He was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and taken into custody on Monday, January 10.

Police Sergeant Adam Owen of North Kent’s Local Policing Team said: "We regularly carry out these proactive safety operations as they help to ensure those small minority of drivers who do not comply with the law are held accountable.

"We target areas where residents have raised concerns and which we have identified as potential hotspots and anyone found to have committed an offence is dealt with proportionately.

"If residents do have a concern affecting their area, please do report it to us via our website or by calling 101. Making a report will help us gain an accurate picture on any issues, which we will act upon."

The suspect has since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
