Police scour areas in West Kingsdown to help find missing mother-of-five Sarah Wellgreen

Police are today searching the West Kingsdown area as they continue their investigations to help find missing mother-of-five Sarah Wellgreen.

Miss Wellgreen, 46, was last seen in the Bazes Shaw area of New Ash Green, more than six weeks ago weeks ago and police have searched many areas of woodland and countryside since she was last seen.

Dozens of officers were seen in the area earlier this afternoon searching the roadside near RG Car Sales centre on the A20.

Witnesses said they were scouring grassland by the side of the road.

Police said earlier today officers are continuing with a number of searches in connection with her disappearance.

Previous searches have been carried out in several areas of woodland in other locations and officers have combed other villages including Scratchers Lane, in Fawkham, areas of Hartley, Longfield, Dartford town centre and parts of the River Darent in a bid to find clues to her whereabouts.

Miss Wellgreen was last seen on Tuesday, October 9 and her disappearance is being treated as a potential murder investigation.

Police are still appealing for any CCTV which could help with the investigation.

Police said this afternoon, officers are continuing with a number of searches in connection with the disappearance and potential murder Miss Wellgreen.

Her former partner, Ben Lacomba, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, October 16 in connection with her disappearance, he was questioned for three days after detectives applied for extensions to his custody.

Mr Lacomba, has now been bailed until Wednesday, January 16.
