Dramatic footage has emerged showing the moment a motorist lost control of their vehicle on a busy road before ploughing into a petrol station pump and parked car.

The incident is reported have taken place at the BP station off the A20 Swanley bypass.

In the footage, a black Mercedes can be seen skidding out of control along the dual carriageway.

It narrowly misses another vehicle indicating to turn into the petrol station before crashing into a blue pick-up truck parked at the station pump.

A man and woman are seen emerging from the crashed car, apparently unscathed.

It is thought to have happened at some point this week following a torrential downpour.

The petrol station has been contacted for comment.
