Dartford man remains under investigation as inquiries continue into death of 27-year-old Darenth Hill man

A 63-year-old remains under investigation in connection with the death of his son in Dartford.

Detectives were called to a property in Darenth Hill last month after a 27-year-old is said to have suffered a fatal stab wound.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder remains under investigation while inquiries continue.

Officers were called to the scene at 10.45pm on May 26 and an older man, also from the area, was arrested some hours later on suspicion of murder.

However, a post-mortem examination could not conclusively say the fatal wound was down to a third party and investigations continue to work out what happened.

The man was released on bail, pending further inquiries, but this has since been extended until August 28.

KentOnline understands the men were father and son, but police would not confirm this, only saying they "were known to each other".

The investigation continues.
