M25 reopens near Dartford Crossing after lorry crash

The M25 is now open after a crash involving two lorries and a car transporter near the Dartford Crossing.

The clockwise carriageway was shut at junction 2 for the A2 and Darenth Interchange following the collision just before 11am.

But all lanes had reopened by 3.20pm this afternoon, with traffic still running slowly at rush hour due to residual delays.

Emergency services were called to the scene.

All trapped traffic was released just before midday, and vehicles caught up before the closure were diverted via slip roads.

The lorries had been recovered by 3pm but the road remained closed while debris was cleared.
