A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident in Dartford.

George Arnott, 19, was arrested on Sunday morning on suspicion of assaulting a man in his late teens in Kent Avenue at around 1.45am the previous morning.

The victim suffered a serious facial injury and bruising across his body.

Arnott, of Parkhill Road, Sidcup, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday.

At the hearing he was again remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday October 7.
