18-year-old dies after crash into central reservation on Thames Road in Crayford

An 18-year-old man has died after the car he was in crashed into a central reservation.

The collision happened just after 10pm last night, in Thames Road, Crayford, near Dartford.

Officers from the Metropolitan police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the road, but the young man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was named in tributes online as Tyler Roye.

Detectives are now appealing for any witnesses and information following the fatal collision.

Detective Sergeant Jose Qureshi, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Thames Road and who either saw the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to come forward.

“A young man has lost his life and we are working hard to piece together what happened.”

Inquiries are ongoing.
