Motorists were caught up in serious delays following an accident on the M25.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision between junctions 2 and 3 heading clockwise shortly after 6am.

No injuries have been reported but the crash left vehicles blocking the outside lane.

At its worst, traffic stretched back over the QEII bridge to junction 30 for Lakeside.

All lanes have been reopened.

Drivers have also faced problems on the A2, the M2 and the M20 this morning.
