Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of robbery at Bluewater bus station

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of a robbery after an attack outside Bluewater bus station.

Police were called to the shopping centre in Greenhithe at 7.40pm last night after a teenage boy was mugged.

The victim was robbed of his phone and a bag by a group of people at the centre's bus station.

Officers search the area and around half hour later located a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy who were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Security teams also located the stolen property.

The victim was not injured and both suspects remain in custody as inquiries continue.

Last month more than 12,000 people signed a petition after a surge in robberies were recorded at Bluewater.

It came after a dad of one teenage victim slammed the management team for their slow response, prompting an apology from the bosses and a change in the centre's security and code of conduct.
