Severe delays on anticlockwise M25 near Dartford Crossing after shoppers flock to Lakeside for 'Wild Wednesday'

Shoppers have flocked to Lakeside for 'Wild Wednesday' leading to severe delays on the M25.

Drivers are facing waits of up to 55 minutes on the anticlockwise M25 near the Dartford Tunnel with traffic queuing back to Swanley and people are facing problems using Junction 30 for the A282 and the shopping complex after a car broke down.

There are further delays on the A13 between the North Stifford turn off and the Marsh Way Interchange, delays on the A13 eastbound are 20 minutes and on the westbound are more than 10 minutes.

Today has been dubbed Wild Wednesday with all non-essential retail reopening after Lockdown 2.

Also on the M25, traffic is being held due to an accident at Junction 3 for the M20's Swanley Interchange.

Traffic Officers are working to close two out of three lanes because of an oil spill in the carriageway following the collision.

There is also congestion near Junction 4 for Orpington with further delays on the A13 between the North Stifford turn off and the Marsh Way Interchange.

Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected on the A13 eastbound, and 10 minutes westbound.
