Woman in hospital after knife attack outside pub in Station Road, Eynsford

A woman remains in hospital after being attacked with a knife outside a pub.

Officers were called to Station Road, in Eynsford, at around 9:30pm last night after a 42-year-old man, allegedly assaulted her.

He was later arrested for assault and remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.

Spokesman for the police, Martin Very, said: "Patrols attended the scene and the victim was treated for cuts to her face, hands and back that are consistent with being struck with a bladed weapon.

"She was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention."
