Woman taken to hospital after crash in Birchwood Road, Dartford

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car crashed near a golf club this morning.

Police and the fire and rescue service attended the incident on Birchwood Road in Dartford just after 9am.

The woman suffered a leg injury in the accident near the Birchwood Park Golf & Country Club.

Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman Sacha Taylor said: "We were called to reports of a fuel spillage, after a crash involving two cars.

"Crews were on standby to assist with a hydraulic tool, but wasn't needed.

"We left the scene at 9.36am."

One eye-witness, who doesn't wished to be named, was driving by this morning and said the incident "looked pretty serious".

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Officers attended the scene, alongside crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a woman has been taken to a local hospital for treatment to a leg injury."
