Dartford will look to extend their advantage at the top of Isthmian Premier on Tuesday night – and make club history in the process.
The Darts have won their last 10 league games and will aim for a club record 11th successive victory in one season when they host eighth-placed Chichester at Princes Park on Tuesday night.
But manager Ady Pennock has warned his in-form squad, who are unbeaten in 19 matches, not to take anything for granted.
“We go again on Tuesday, against another good team,” said the Darts boss. “We drew 2-2 at their place and Chichester have got some very good footballers.
“It's a really good atmosphere and everyone's pulling in the same direction. There's 13 games to go.
“I can't complain at the moment. There's a long way to go yet, though, and we're not shouting from the rooftops.
“We're doing things quietly and I think that's the only way to do it.
“We've got 13 big games, but the big one is obviously the next one.”
Dartford sit top over Billericay on goals scored after their 2-0 home win over Hashtag United on Saturday.
They will be looking to cash in as they’re the only team in the top five in action in midweek.
It will already be a special day for the Pennock household, whatever the result.
“I'm really looking forward to it,” added Pennock. “My grandson's going to be mascot as it’s his birthday the next day.
“Hopefully we get another big gate because we need the supporters. This is the time we need them, right now through to the end of the season.”
