Alfie Pavey voted National League South player-of-the-year

Dartford striker Alfie Pavey has been voted National League South player-of-the-year.

Pavey scored 22 league goals in the regular season and is now hoping to fire Darts to promotion through the play-offs.

The 22-year-old picked up the divisional prize at the weekend after being voted for by the league's member clubs.

Pavey ended last season on loan at Dartford but after being released by Millwall in the summer, signed for Welling United.

However, his stay at Park View Road was a short one and Pavey agreed a return to Princes Park after speaking with boss Tony Burman.

He later signed a contract and scored a host of important goals in the title race, including several late winners.

Dartford will host Hemel Hempstead or Braintree in their play-off semi-final on Sunday.
