He has previously put on this performance, sub-titled The Glenn Ford Laughter Show, at the venue.

Mr Ford visited his character's namesake pub, the Sir Norman Wisdom in Queen Street, Deal, at the end of a 135-mile charity walk in June 2017.

While growing up in the town he worked in the Lipton’s foodstore and would later frequently come back to visit relatives.

Sir Norman, who died in 2010, aged 95, was a keen supporter of Deal Hospital and on occasions came to open its annual fete.

This show in named after Sir Norman's theme song Don't Laugh at Me ('cause I'm a Fool).
