Business woman Jessica Ryan of JLR Hair & Beauty Bar expands by opening JLR Blow Dry Bar at South Street, Deal

The sign on the door of Jessica Ryan's latest business says 'invest in your hair' and that's "because you wear it every day!"

The business woman, 36, has been tapping into the ever thriving beauty industry for more than 10 years, and while the public's demand for looking good shows no signs of slowing down, neither does she.

Having opened up JLR Brow & Beauty Bar in South Street, Deal, three years ago she is just days away from the grand opening of a sister business JLR Blow Dry Bar in the same premises.

It follows a £20,000 investment including relocating the brow and beauty operation to a refurbished and larger premises around the corner at 10a Victoria Road. And she's revamped the South Street shop with three styling units fit for every hair treatment you could imagine, including a vast array of colour, cutting, extensions and of course, ultra glam blow drys.

"We've outgrown the little shop," she said.

"We couldn't fit in there any more where we were getting so busy. Then this premises (at Victoria Road) came up."

Moving the brow bar to a bigger space meant she could branch out and offer hair services to her empire.

The aptly named JLR Blow Dry Bar will do exactly what it says on the tin. Customers can walk in and choose from a range of blow dry options from the Classic Blow-Out to the more expensive Rich Girl Blow Dry. They can complete their look by walking round the corner to get their brows, lashes or make up done.

"It's the first of its kind in the area," she said, and it's designed solely to help women feel good all over.

Her budget days, Treat Day Tuesdays, are all about bringing affordability to women.

Jessica, a single mum says making people feel good about themselves is part of her drive, but her main drive is to provide stability for her two children.

The trained hairdresser, who specialised in extensions and now brows, has worked hard to build up a trusted reputation and is confident to say: "you can't get a brow like it anywhere else."

She trained her team personally to make sure every customer gets the same quality and exceptional service, and as new treatments come out, they add them to their vast menu which includes HD Brows, henna, lamination, microblading, waxing, threading and more.

Jessica's staff are so valued, it's to them she pays tribute as she moves her business to the next level.

"My girls are unreal. The business wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for my staff and I've hand picked the girls for the blow dry bar so I have the best quality staff around."

JLR Blow Dry Bar will be launched with a grand opening on Friday, February 28 at 7.30pm.

There will be a 50% discount for blow-drys and other discounts for colour services if booked that night.

The relocated JLR Brow & Beauty Bar opened at 10a Victoria Road (Above) Thomas and Partners in January.
