The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning from Pegwell Bay to Deal including Sandwich and Discovery Park.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for parts of east Kent as strong winds and rain battle across the county.

Coast and tidal areas from Pegwell Bay to Deal including Sandwich, and Discovery Park are at risk.

As well as the tidal Stour between the sea and Fordwich, including Plucks Gutter and Grove Ferry.

Stormy conditions in the North Sea will lead to a surge tide affecting these parts early on Sunday morning.

The tide is expected to reach Sandwich at 3.15am and Grove Ferry by 5am.

No flooding of properties is expected.

This comes after Sandwich suffered a tidal surge in 2013 which flooded many properties along the Quay and saw residents evacuated from their homes.
