Knitted pixel art Poppy goes on display at Linden Hall Studio, Deal, for Remembrance weekend

A knitted pixel art poppy goes on show at Linden Hall Studio in Deal.

Each of the 1,568 four inch knitted and crocheted squares represents a day of World War I.

It is bordered by the Kohima Epitaph which was written in 1918.

Each square represents approximately 610 lives lost.

The whole piece measures four metres square.

It was made by a team known as Grans on the Make, an extraordinary project. It has received huge engagement, almost daily receiving squares from knitters and crocheters throughout this year.

It can be visited at Linden Hall, 32 St George's Road, Deal, from 10am-4pm tomorrow, November 10 and on Remembrance Sunday from 11am-2pm.

It is also an opportunity for the many people who contributed, to view the finished project.

Tea and coffee will be available with donations going to the Royal British Legion
