Man charged with trio of burglaries at Co-op stores in Deal, Ash and Westgate-on-Sea

A man accused of burgling three supermarkets will appear in court.

Daniel D’Age, of Gilbert Way in Canterbury, is suspected to have stolen cigarettes and tobacco from Co-op stores in Deal, Ash and Westgate-on-Sea.

The 34-year-old first acted on Tuesday, April 16 this year targetting The Street store in Ash.

He then struck again, making his way into a store in Station Road in Westgate on Tuesday and the supermarket in Beauchamp Avenue in Deal yesterday.

Mr D’Age has been charged with three counts of burglary as well as the theft of car number plates, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without insurance.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
