Man taken to hospital in serious condition after collapsing in alley off Beach Street in Deal

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition following an incident in alleyway.

Paramedics were called to assist a person who had collapsed near Beach Street in Deal about 4.15pm yesterday.

The man was treated at the scene before being transported to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford in a serious condition.

An ambulance spokesman said: "I can confirm we were called to reports of a collapsed person near Beach Street yesterday (26 August) at approximately 4.15pm.

"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the patient was treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in a serious condition."

Police also attended the scene to help.

A spokesman said: "Officers attended and a man was taken to a local hospital."
